is Professor of Spanish and Comparative Literature at The University of Tulsa. His research and publications focus on diverse aspects of poetry and performance, and expressions of Indigenous and African cultures, in Latin American literature, particularly Brazil, Chile, and Mexico.

Panamanian Lovers of Paraguayan Literature

Note: Today is el Día de los Santos Inocentes!

The Panamanian Lovers of Paraguayan Literature (PLPL) subsection of the Latin American Letters Lovers (LALL) MLA discussion group will host its annual meeting this evening from 7:00 - 2:00 in the Liberty Room of the Philly Hilton. This year's topic is the potential dissolution/synthesis/aporia/apotheosis of our group: the works of Panamanian-Paraguayan journalist and fiction writer Stephanie Moscoso Roa, followed by the midnight screening of her documentary, P-Text. Mate mojitos may be served. MLA interview gossip will be tolerated. Minutes will not be taken. Attendance: MANDATORY!
